Celebrating First Year of the CIRCUBATT Project in Slovenia

The CIRCUBATT project has officially reached its first major milestone. We could not imagine a better place to celebrate than Ljubljana, Slovenia. Our team recently gathered for the M12 review and planning meeting. This event allowed us to reflect on twelve months of intense work. We also used this time to chart the future of sustainable battery technology in Europe.

Advancing Circular Battery Research

Our hosts at the National Institute of Chemistry provided an inspiring environment. These discussions were critical for our next steps. During the sessions, we reviewed our progress in using AI and data analytics. This technology helps us understand the battery lifecycle better. Our first year has set the stage for upcoming pilots. We will soon test new methods for dismantling and high-value recycling. These processes are essential for a true circular economy.

Strategic Planning and Collaboration

The success of our work relies on seamless international collaboration. In Slovenia, we moved beyond basic technical reports. We engaged in deep strategic planning for our next development phase. These sessions ensure our goals remain on track. We aim to reduce Europe’s dependency on critical raw materials. Our clear vision will guide the pilot tests starting in the coming months.

A Festive Conclusion in Ljubljana

Our final day in the city was especially memorable. It coincided with the start of the holiday season. The team watched as the city lights turned on. We also explored the opening of the local Christmas market. This moment offered a perfect chance to reflect on our journey. It was a wonderful way to wrap up a year of hard work. These activities also strengthened the bonds between our partners.

Looking Ahead to Year Two

Our momentum is higher than ever as we enter the second year. We are moving from research to real-world applications. These steps will define the next generation of green battery value chains. Our team is excited to share these developments with you. We remain committed to building a more resilient industrial sector in Europe.
